DCTC's Eventide Stars Radical Talent

The epic story of Holt, Colorado began with Kent Haruf's bestselling novel and Eric Schmiedl's critically-acclaimed play Plainsong, commissioned and premiered by the Denver Center Theatre Company in 2008.  The DCTC now presents the world premiere of the companion play Eventide.  Haruf's plainspoken and endearing characters - the aging McPheron brothers and Victoria Roubideaux, the pregnant young girl they took into their home - are joined in Eventide by a lonely young boy who generously cares for his grandfather, and a mentally challenged couple trying to hold their family together.

Mike Hartman returns to the cast from Plainsong as Raymond McPheron, along with Leslie O'Carroll and Lauren Klein.  Also featured are Radical actors Ellie S. (youth actor), Jenna Panther, Sean Lyons and Chris Mazza.

Radical Nominees for Henry Awards!

Each year the Colorado Theatre Guild honors local actors and productions for the Henry Awards.  Here are Radical's standouts:

Westword “Best Of” Cites Tilghman, Romero

Each year the eagerly awaited annual Westword "Best of" edition touts hundreds of Colorado's finest people, places, and moments.  The current "Best of 2009" edition cites two Radical actors: Tyee Tilghman and Jamie Ann Romero.

Westword cites Tyee Tilghman for Best Season for an Actor, saying he "brings dignity, subtlety and intelligent understatement to almost everything he does on a stage". His season included Curious Theatre's The Denver Project and Orpheus-Eurydice, and the Denver Center's Merry Wives of Windsor.

In Modern Muse's production of As You Like It Jamie Ann Romero brings such life to a sidekick that "this Celia was so funny and charming that she almost romped away with the entire production".  She is noted for Best Shakespeare Performance.  Ms. Romero most recently appeared in the children's play The Golden Goose.
