Westword “Best Of” Cites Tilghman, Romero
Each year the eagerly awaited annual Westword "Best of" edition touts hundreds of Colorado's finest people, places, and moments. The current "Best of 2009" edition cites two Radical actors: Tyee Tilghman and Jamie Ann Romero.
Westword cites Tyee Tilghman for Best Season for an Actor, saying he "brings dignity, subtlety and intelligent understatement to almost everything he does on a stage". His season included Curious Theatre's The Denver Project and Orpheus-Eurydice, and the Denver Center's Merry Wives of Windsor. In Modern Muse's production of As You Like It Jamie Ann Romero brings such life to a sidekick that "this Celia was so funny and charming that she almost romped away with the entire production". She is noted for Best Shakespeare Performance. Ms. Romero most recently appeared in the children's play The Golden Goose.
